Food TV, Persian Style

Watch as charming young Tian and Babak prepare kaleh pacheh, a beloved Iranian soup with some -- ahem -- interesting ingredients. It may be in Persian, but the international language of sheep's head, complete with eyes and tongue and teeth, crosses all international boundaries. Hilarious or disgusting? You make the call.

  1. If the hosts had not been so charming, I would've had to say disgusting. Still, I don't think I can make the plunge. I've been reading The Omnivore's Dilemma. I'm not done, but I think I've been eating less meat since I started reading it.

  3. right, so, yes, it's disgusting. but as far as the omnivore's dilemma comment, there's something about this that goes with the sensibility of not wasting meat, of knowing what's going into your mouth.

and volare, yeah, omnivore's dilemma has me eating less meat too, which i think is for the best for everyone involved.
